No. The cost of the temperament test covers the evaluation of your dog and the time it takes to do so. For in-person clients, it also covers travel. You will receive a refund if you are rejected due to the form submitted, however.

Donations are used to help upkeep the business but still offer the lowest costs in the state. We also will put donations toward service dogs we raise and train so the person they are matched with will have to pay less than the original cost of care. You can view our current goals as well.

Yes, we offer board and train opportunities for non-service dog clients, but they are very rarely available. Keep your eyes out for openings!

Yes! We offer a 20% discount on all purchases for veterans. Please email us at starassistancedogs@outlook.com with your military ID or other supporting document for the discount. (If you are sharing a DD-214, please hide your social security number before sending.)
